268. REVERSE ANGLE – MED. SHOT – ROBIN HOOD

ROBIN

Surely, my Lord, you'll not disdain

our humble fare. 'Tis prime meat,

taken from a herd of horned cattle.

There is a general guffaw at this.

269. REVERSE ANGLE – MED. CLOSE SHOT – SHERIFF

The Sheriff shoots a sullen glance up at Robin, then

glares down as before. Stutely's knife moves ominously

in and points at the meat. Without looking up, the

Sheriff takes a piece and eats, choking it down.

ROBIN'S VOICE (O.S.)

And fill him a bowl of ale. You'll

find it of the best, my Lord.

Scathelok picks up a nearby jug and fills the Sheriff's

smaller wooden bowl.

270. ANOTHER ANGLE – ROBIN

ROBIN

The Bishop of Hereford supplied

us with a cask from his own

cellar.

SCARLET

(to the Friar)

Which makes it very proper ale for

Merry monks...

He pours the Friar a bowlful.

ROBIN

(chiming in)

Especially one who can eat and

drink for 'two.'

271. CLOSE SHOT – ROBIN AND FRIAR TUCK

The Friar gives him a startled, guilty look, but when

Robin answers with no more than a quizzical glance,

the Friar grins, knowing that the secret will be

kept between them. "
