I fancied some light relief after a fortnight of computer problems. So here's some classic artwork from the master of animation, Chuck Jones (1912-2002). Jones brought to life 300 cartoon films for Warner Brothers and during his career gained three Oscars and an Honoury Oscar for lifetime achievement.Above are two of his wonderful Loony Tunes creations, Porky Pig as Friar Tuck and Daffy Duck as Robin Hood taken from Robin Hood Daffy, which was released on 3rd August 1958

This along with a Merrie Melodies short "Rabbit Hood" are included in the 2-Disc Special Edition of the "Adventures of Robin Hood" with Errol Flynn.
Thanks for reminding me of that.
There is a fascinating set of extras on the 'Special Edition' with some amazing behind-the-scenes footage of the making of 'The Adventures'. A must for all Robin Hood enthusiasts.
Some of the quotes from that 'toon' are rather funny: "I'll put a clothyard shaft through his wishbone!"
